Seniors Real Estate Services
Navigating housing decisions later in life can feel overwhelming. There are many emotions involved and a lot of choices to consider. Whether it's downsizing to a smaller home or condo, moving in with family, transitioning to a retirement community, or staying put and maybe renovating, it's a big decision. In southern Ontario, where there are over 78,000 REALTORS, Maggie is one of the few who specializes in helping seniors through these transitions. With her expertise and connections, she can provide seniors and their families with solutions and support.
As a Senior Real Estate Specialist (SRES®), Maggie's aim is to help seniors make housing decisions based on choice, not just circumstance. She's specially trained to assist those aged 50 and older with their real estate needs, drawing on additional education and experience in later-in-life transactions. Maggie works closely with a network of professionals, including estate planners, lawyers, and contractors, who understand the unique needs of seniors. Whether selling a home or considering modifications to age in place, Maggie helps navigate the financial, legal, and emotional aspects of these transitions.

Did you know? Within the demographic landscape of Hamilton, 22% live alone.  Additionally, a notable 3 in 10 inhabitants are aged 55 and older.

Seniors often have questions like:
  • Should I sell my home, and if so, when?
  • Are there better housing options for me now and in the future?
  • What's changed in the real estate market since I last sold a house?
  • What's involved if I decide to move? What do I do with all my belongings?
  • What are my options for modifying my home to stay in it longer?
  • How can I finance staying in my home if I need to?
Maggie offers free real estate reports tailored for seniors to help answer these questions and get started on their housing journey.
The main goal of working with Maggie is to ensure seniors make the best decisions for their circumstances, whether that means selling their home or not.  In some cases, family members may not live nearby, making it challenging to prepare the house, handle all minor fixes, declutter, sell furniture and belongings, maintain the lawn, address exterior issues, stage the home, list a home for sale and get the optimal outcome.  There's a lot to manage.  She provides professional service, respects seniors' choices, and offers support to alleviate stress and anxiety.  Selling your parent's home while helping them transition to Senior Living, along with handling other tasks, can be overwhelming.  That's where Maggie steps in.  As part of her service, she takes care of everything for you.  No more streess nor worry.  She's here and ready to help.
